Photos Forever 1.0

Backup utility to save and organize your digital photo collection

Acoustica

Acoustic Photos Forever is a backup utility that will help you to archive your digital photographs in a multiple-CD/DVD collection. Just select the pictures you want to back up and Photos Forever will do the rest – it will take all the images selected out of their folders and subfolders and calculate how many discs you will need (CDs or DVDs) to complete the operation. Once your collection is safe, the program will allow you to print a Key List with thumbnails of all your photographs, their filenames and the disc where you can find them.

Photos Forever is the alternative to those complicated structures of folders and sub-folders we build in our computers when storing our digital photographs. Besides, in the digital world we no longer have the possibility of going back to our negatives or double prints to make new copies of our most precious memories if they get lost. The only copies of our digital photo collections lie on computers and hard drives that can be attacked by viruses or simply crash.

It only takes a few steps to create an organized backup copy of your digital photographs. Select the pictures you want to back up. Photos Forever may look them up for you, using a list of more than 20 different file formats that you can customize by adding new file extensions if needed. It will show you thumbnails of all the pictures in the selected drives/folders. Sort them by name, date, file size or folder name, or let the program rename and reorder them for you.

Photos Forever will let you know how many blank CDs or DVDs you need to backup the images selected and will allow you to include an unregistered version of the software on each disc. Uncomplete discs are not “closed” (even if they are not rewritable) so that you can add more images until the disc is full. (Note that the program overwrites files with the same name and extension without warning.)

You will finally be given the option to print a Key List with thumbnails of all the photographs included in each disc to help you locate a certain image in no time.
